Exeter HOA Seeks New Pool Committee Chair
Our greatest amenity in the Summer months is the swimming pool that provides recreational enjoyment for our residents and also supports the Eagles Swim Team.
To ensure that the pool is administered and maintained to a high standard, the Pool Committee provides the essential liaison with the HOA Board. The purpose of the Pool Committee is to maximize the benefits of the community pool, pool house, and adjacent areas to all residents of the community and to encourage participation and use of the pool by all members of the Association.
After years of dedicated service to our community, the current Pool Committee Chair is stepping down. The HOA Board seeks a volunteer to become the new Chair of the Pool Committee.
Responsibilities of the Pool Committee are in part:
1. Develop rules, regulations and policies for the pool and pool house.
2. Review the contract for pool management, pool repairs, assigned proposals, or approved recommendations.
3. Provide additional training, monitoring, and support of the lifeguards in accordance with the pool management contractor.
4. Provide recommendations for the maintenance and repair of the pool or pool house, for the replenishment of furniture and supplies, and additional enhancements as deemed necessary.
5. Coordinate with the Board of Directors, Property Manager, or pool management contractor to oversee or provide for limited repairs and improvement, as agreed upon by the Committee or deemed necessary for the uninterrupted operation of the pool, as well as items including but not limited to landscaping prior to season opening, storage and security after season cleanup, minor installations of recurring or small hardware for the opening and continued maintenance of the pool, and signage for safe operation.
The responsibility of the Chair is to guide the volunteer committee to fulfill its responsibilities and to report into the Board at its monthly meetings.
The Pool Committee meets once a month.
This volunteer position is ideally suited to any resident with an interest in the pool, its use, maintenance and infrastructure.
