Town of Leesburg 4th of July Celebrations!!

Join the Town of Leesburg for a day of FREE patriotic fun! The parade kicks off at 10:00AM. Gates open at 6:00PM for music, festival food and fun at Ida Lee Park. Fireworks begin at 9:30PM! Text TOWN4TH to 888-777 for event updates.

Trash and Recycling Holiday Schedule

There will be no trash, recycling, or yard waste collection in the Town of Leesburg on the Independence Day holiday, Monday, July 4.

The revised holiday schedule for trash, recycling, and yard waste collection for residential customers is as follows:

• Monday, July 4 – No collections

• Tuesday, July 5 – NW and Town-wide yard waste collection

• Wednesday, July 6 - NE, inside the Bypass

• Thursday, July 7 – NE, outside the Bypass

• Friday, July 8 – SW plus Meadowbrook

• Saturday, July 9 – SE, except Meadowbrook

The Disposable Plastic Bag Tax Begins on July 1

A new disposable plastic bag tax of five cents per plastic bag goes into effect in #Loudoun County July 1, 2022. The measure is intended to reduce plastic pollution in the region.

Shoppers may avoid the tax by bringing their own bags with them to stores.

Loudoun County Economic Development is working with local businesses to help them prepare to collect the tax.
