Monthly Calendar: Meetings and Events

The monthly calendar on the Exeter HOA homepage has been updated and will remain so going forward. Next BOD meeting is scheduled for January 26, 2023.

Town of Leesburg Happenings:

Free Downtown Parking Extended Through February

Leesburg, VA (January 2, 2023) – Parking in downtown Leesburg will remain free through the end of February.

The extended free parking promotion will allow for a smoother transition to the new ParkMobile system for on-street parking. Free on-street parking will continue to be limited to two hours, and will be enforced by the Town’s parking staff.

Free parking will also remain at the Town Hall parking garage, in recognition of limited availability due to the ongoing construction work.

The on-street ParkMobile system allows drivers to easily find and pay for parking simply by scanning a QR code, sending a text message, or downloading the free app. More information about the transition to the ParkMobile system will be forthcoming.

Staff will begin the removal of old meters and replace them with new ParkMobile signs the week of February 22. New on-street parking rates go into effect on Wednesday, March 1.

Paid parking is expected to resume in the Town Hall parking garage beginning the week of Monday, February 27.

Leesburg, VA (December 28, 2022) – The Town’s trash collection contractor, Patriot Disposal Services, will collect and recycle live Christmas trees on Tuesday, January 3 and Monday, January 9, 2023. Residents should prepare their trees for collection, using the following tips:

• Remove all decorations. • Remove tinsel, fake snow, angel hair and garlands. • Remove all lights. • Remove all twine, metal or plastic ties, and string. • Remove stands and bases. • Do not place trees in plastic tree disposal bags. • Place trees at the curb the night before collection day. After these collection dates for recycling, Town crews will collect trees that are less than 8 feet tall and with trunks less than 6” in diameter during the regular Town brush collection. Trees should be set out on Sunday evening for same week collection. For more information, visit the Town website at www.leesburgva.gov/ChristmasTreeRecycling. Leesburg, VA (December 29, 2022) – The Leesburg Commission on Public Art (COPA) is excited to announce that the 2023 Town of Leesburg calendar is now available. In September, COPA issued a “Call to Artists” requesting Town images be submitted for the new calendar project. More than one hundred images were received. An art advisory panel worked with the commission to select thirteen photographs. Winning images included Town parks, special events, and a snowy downtown. “We are pleased to showcase the best of Leesburg through the eyes of local artists,” said Commission Chair Jeanette Ward. “The number and quality of submissions we received were beyond what we hoped for in our first year for this project.” Calendars are free to the public and available at the following locations: • Leesburg Town Hall • Thomas Balch Library • Ida Lee Recreation Center • Leesburg Executive Airport • Leesburg Police Department
