Exeter Home Owners Association (HOA) Committee Want Ads
Posted on Mar 22, 2009

The Exeter HOA has immediate openings for community-minded volunteers on the following committees:

Architectural Review Board (ARB). The board reviews applications from property owners for modifications or improvements on their property. Committee members are expected to be impartial and follow established guidelines, and cannot vote until they have attended two consecutive meetings. Traditionally this committee meets in the HOA Stone Clubhouse (near the pool) once a month on the third Thursday at 7 PM.

Landscaping Committee. This committee works in conjunction with our contract landscapers to make recommendations that help maintain the appearance of the common areas including the Exeter Welcome Stones monuments, Battlefield Parkway, and playground and hiking / biking trails. This committee makes recommendations for improvements to the Board of Directors. This committee meets once a month for approximately one hour.

Pool Committee. The pool committee meets on an “as needed basis” during the pool season and reports pool operation concerns, makes recommendations to the Board of Directors for pool improvements and procedure changes, and otherwise provides feedback to the board of directors and property management company on the pools cleanliness and general operating condition.

Community Social Events Committee. The purpose of this committee is to plan and implements special events for the community to include the annual community pool party and holiday events.

Newsletter Committee. This committee manages and publishes the quarterly Exeter newsletter. The committee meets on an as needed basis, but generally has a variety of roles available for community residents depending on their interests. The biggest ongoing needs are for writers to draft articles of general community interest and photographers to take interesting pictures to include. In lieu of actually joining the committee, residents can always draft up an article or two and submit it to our property manager via email to: kim.ch@pmpbiz.com for inclusion in the next newsletter.

HOA Committee Safety Committee - is seeking additional members from Town Homes and Single Family residents who share a for our community's safety. Committee is intended to help develop and communicate awareness programs and campaigns to help educate the community.

Immediate openings are available for all committees. Compensation package includes praise from your neighbors and the warm feeling that comes with knowing that you helped improve the community that we all live in. If interested please contact our management agency) Property Management People at 703-771-9355.
